Eline Geudens
Administrative assistant at Belcofeed
On April 2, 2015, I started at Belcofeed as an administrative assistant. What was intended as a one-month temporary job became a permanent position, that I have been holding for over 8 years now.
A varied job, a good working atmosphere and a nice team ensure that I continue giving 200% every day.
In my position, I have a very varied range of tasks: I perform all kinds of administrative tasks as well as the production and transport planning. The latter is done in close collaboration with my colleagues from Belcofeed and Intraco. The schedule can change every day due to unforeseen circumstances, making each day a new challenge.
The nice thing about the job is that besides the mountains of paperwork, I also keep contact with a lot of people. The phone never stops ringing here and every day, a lot of drivers pass by my desk to receive loading instructions and documents. My language skills in English, French and German are therefore often very useful to me.
Not only the content of my work, but also my colleagues make me enjoy coming to work every day. Colleagues are there for each other and we laugh a lot. At Belcofeed I am mainly surrounded by men, but they are only too happy to help me out of trouble. There is also a close collaboration with my colleagues from Intraco in Antwerp. Throughout the day, we consult each other to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible and to satisfy all customers.
My job is never boring. My tasks are repetitive, but each time slightly different and there is something new every day. Flexibility, immediate action and a good follow-up are the key words that play a crucial role in our daily activities. It is an exciting market with lots of opportunities.
A varied job, a good working atmosphere and a nice team ensure that I continue giving 200% every day.
