Yves

Logistics Administrator at DCM

The job offer from DCM was really made for me, the job description suited me perfectly. During the recruitment process, I had several interviews, including an interview with my superior, and I immediately felt a "click". In September 2017 I got the good news that I could start. The team that I joined is a small but close-knit team. We are all quiet people, but we like to have a little chat now and then.

"This company is still growing quickly. This also means that my range of tasks has evolved enormously in just a few years.".

My tasks are very diverse. The company is still growing quickly. This also means that my range of tasks has evolved enormously in just a few years. On the one hand, I process a lot of data, including in SAP. This is a software package that is used throughout the company and I am responsible for creating the articles. In addition to SAP, we also work with Qlikview, a software which allows me to feed the system with sales forecasts.

On the other hand, I take care of the general agreements with our transporters. These include agreements on rates, general arrangements regarding pick-ups, the service required, etc. The operational tasks related to transport booking and tracking are handled by our colleagues of the customer service department.

Finally, I have good contacts with our grass seed suppliers. In short, I make sure that we always have sufficient stock of grass seed and that the corresponding orders are placed on time.

As you can see, my job offers me a wide variety of tasks and each of them suits me well. I like working at DCM because there is a family atmosphere. The contacts we have with the various departments run very smoothly, we feel appreciated in our work.
